Overview

Directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus and produced by Randy Weiner (Sleep No More, The Box), Masquerade reimagines Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera as a fully immersive, walk-through experience. Small groups ("pulses") of guests move together through elaborately designed multi-floor sets recreating the Paris Opera House, with Broadway-caliber performers singing and acting in close proximity — sometimes directly interacting with individual guests.

History

Opened in 2025 near Times Square as an immersive reinterpretation of The Phantom of the Opera, which closed its 35-year, nearly 14,000-performance original Broadway run at the Majestic Theatre in April 2023.
