Overview

Named for legendary 19th-century actor Edwin Booth — the first Broadway theater ever named for an actor — this is one of Broadway's smallest and most intimate houses, designed as a companion to the neighboring Shubert Theatre in matching Italian Renaissance style. With no support posts and consistently good sightlines, it has become one of Broadway's most beloved venues for dramas, comedies, and smaller musicals.
